I serendipitously stumbled upon this:

"Like all of you I enjoyed UM. The show did a segment about a double murder in my hometown, but the show was cancelled before it aired. I reached out to the producers a couple of times but they’ve never been in touch. Any suggestions on how to get through to a network about something like this? The little information I have is that the segment was completed, it just never aired, which is a shame because it centers on the greusome muders of two high school-aged guys who worked in a video store and were killed one night before closing."

Now you want to know what the freaky things is? I also stumbled upon a case a few months ago online that matches this synopsis EXACTLY. Now I'll have to see if I can find it, but that could take awhile. I will try to get names and location.

Very interesting and sad. I wonder how many other new segments were ready to go when it was cancelled. I did read that their case was featured on the Montell Williams show. Here's another interesting blurb I found in another article:

Detectives also were unable to link convicted killer Arthur Bomar, who lived within four miles of the video store and, for a time, attended services at the same church where the Youngers worshipped in Blooming Glen, with the murders. A partially rusted knife, which police said could have been used in the murders, was found behind the Rosemore Shopping Center in early 1997 and tested for evidence. It did not lead investigators to the killer either.

Apparently he didn't commit that crime but if you will remember he was the one who murdered Aimee Willard who was featured on UM.

Wow. That's incredibly disturbing. Knife killings are much more personal. Killers who stab really want their victims to suffer very slow, painful deaths. Even more amazing in this case is that there are 2 victims. What was the second guy doing while the first one was getting killed? What a sad case.

Arthur Bomar should never have been paroled in the first place. What a piece of crap he is. He needs to be executed.

Bumping this back up, I read that an earring with a fake diamond was found between Benson and Campbell's bodies that next morning in the video store. It had some blood on it. Apparently, it might have been pulled off when the two clerks were being attacked. They did try to fight back, as they had defensive wounds on their arms.

Has Arthur Bomar's DNA ever been tested with that earring found at the scene?

That doesn't suprise me. DVD's come out with extra/deleted scenes. Bands always have unreleased demo's that never surface. There's no reason that a show like UM wouldn't have the same things with segments just never made it to air.

Yeah I know its unrelated but apparently Britney Spears has a completed album from like 2005 that her manager or record label has never allowed her to release.
