I was shocked to see all 6 seasons of Good Times is on DVD! The entire series!

COME ON! The Jeffersons was a bigger show so should have more seasons on DVD!

I am guessing it all comes down to sales. Good Times obviously sold better than the Jeffersons. (I'm guessing)

No way! The Jeffersons was quite a bit more popular so I would bet it sold better.

Because....................

1. Good Times was a all black show about a poor black family
2. Jeffersons was a show about a wealthy black couple
3. There were not any kids on the Jeffersons and more of an adult show
4. Good Times appealed to kids from 8 to 17 years old.
5. Good Times has had more cable exposure in the past 10 years
6. George was prejudice against poor people and white people

That's all I can think of right now-LOL

If it sold better, than all the seasons would be released already. Good Times is more relate able in this day and age.

Actually Good Times was always more popular in the black community because people could relate to the show. Most black families couldn't relate to a black family living in a fancy highrise apt.

I couldn't even at the age of 13 but I was quickly entertained by the george jefferson character and didn't care if they were rich or not

Another good point. The issues discussed on Good times are going on today. The Jeffersons rarely dealt with social issues

Exactly Sol, everybody is dealing with living paycheck to paycheck, not making the rent, unemployment, crime, etc. It's just the times we are living in. It's hard to relate to a self made millionaire living in a penthouse right now.

Any chance that one day just season 7 will come out? Even by a different company?
