Schmoopie 01-03-2012, 05:58 AM I didn't like it when it moved to Tuesday nights because I always looked foreword to seeing it on Fridays. So there were a lot of them that I missed because I'd forget that it was on.
ThomasE 02-06-2012, 01:17 AM I know it was a change. I was used to Friday nights too but Tuesday nights brought the ratings up. Oh, well.
simmytbone 03-24-2012, 12:59 PM Yes, I do remember seeing the promo on abc when Michelle did an imitation of The Terminator during the summer of '91 when Terminator 2: Judgment Day was THE MOVIE of the summer and that's when they stated that Full House made its jump to Tuesday Nights on abc during the fall of '91
and also, here are some more promos of Full House and Home Improvement from the 91/92 Season

JO Sweet Heart 03-25-2012, 04:46 PM Because of this being the season that Becky had the twins, it was the year that Danny started going with the lady who co-hosted Wake Up, San Francisco during Becky's maternity leave. I hated that the writers had them break up in season 7. To me, Vicki would have been the perfect step mom to DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle.
God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

I thought that Danny and Vicki eventually got married. Wow... I haven't watched Full House in a long time so I'll have to watch Season 7 again. Seems to me like they could have had Danny and Vicki get married. I remember him asking her at Disney World.
JO Sweet Heart 03-26-2012, 01:44 PM ^^^ Just before Christmas of that same year, the writers had Vicki get a job offer in New York and because of it being the kind of job that she had always wanted, Danny didn't want to be in the way of that, so he told her to go ahead and go and so she did. :( :( :(
God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

simmytbone 03-27-2012, 12:10 AM I know it was a change. I was used to Friday nights too but Tuesday nights brought the ratings up. Oh, well.
You got that right
after a rough start on the 1st season, the show started rising up in the ratings since Season 2
The 1st Season was @ #70, but thanks to abc for giving them a second chance, Jeff Franklin, Miller-Boyett and LORIMAR hired Lori Loughlin to play the role of Rebecca Donaldson who became the friend of the girls and soon became the aunt, but Becky was also like a mother to DJ, Stephanie and Michelle
IMO, w/o the people hiring Lori Loughlin, Full House would've never been successful
The 2nd Season saw the ratings go up and cracked the Top 40 and then, the 3rd Season saw it rise up again and it cracked the Top 30 and by the 90/91 Season, that's when Season 4 of Full House and Season 2 of Family Matters saw the ratings go up as both shows managed to crack the Nielsen Ratings Top 20 and that includes Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky getting married on a Special Valentine's Day Episode of Full House entitled The Wedding
and when it was announced on abc that Full House was moving to Tuesday Nights during the fall of '91, that's when the show really got HOT and shined
abc wanted 2 sitcoms back to back to compete with CBS' Rescue 911 who have been competing against each other for 3 Seasons from 1989-1992 and so, they moved Full House to Tuesday Nights and then they paired it with Home Improvement and that's when both shows cracked the Nielsen Ratings Top 10 and also, abc Tuesday Night Sitcoms during the 91/92 season gave NBC some competition when Full House, Home Improvement along with Roseanne and Coach competed against In the Heat of the Night and that's when abc Tuesday Nights really shined when all 4 shows became Top 10 Hits
Full House @ #7, Home Improvement @ #5, Roseanne (even though I'm not a fan of the show) @ #2 and Coach cracked the Nielsen Ratings Top 10 for the very 1st time @ #10
But then, by the 92/93 Season, Matlock along with In the Heat of the Night would leave NBC
Matlock would move to abc which is the same network that airs FH and HI and In the Heat of the Night along with The Golden Girls (which was renamed The Golden Palace) would move to CBS which is the same network that airs Rescue 911
But also, when Full House cracked the Top 10 for the very 1st time, The Cosby Show along with A Different World started losing viewers, but both shows still manage to hang in the Top 20, but The Cosby Show ended on a High Note and A Different World did better than The Cosby Show in the ratings and Cheers was still in the Nielsen Ratings Top 5, but from 1991-1994, 60 Minutes became the #1 series on Primetime Network Television
But then by the 92/93 Season, NBC tried their luck when they had Quantum Leap move to Tuesday Nights @ 8/7 Central to compete against Full House and a New Show from the Creator of Full House called Hangin' with Mr. Cooper Starring Comedian Mark Curry and Holly Robinson Peete of 21 Jump Street Fame, but still no luck as the show was cancelled after 5 Seasons and then, during the 93/94 Season, NBC had Saved By the Bell: The College Years compete against Full House and the show got cancelled in a hurry along with Getting By (another Miller-Boyett produced show) and Nurses
Since moving to Tuesday Nights, Full House spent the remaining 4 years competing against Rescue 911 from 1991-1995
Ironically, Full House was cancelled in 1995 along with Matlock, In the Heat of the Night, The Perry Mason Movie Mystery, Empty Nest, Blossom, The Original Star Search w/the late Ed McMahon and Family Feud w/the return of Richard Dawson and Rescue 911 and Murder She Wrote moved to Thursday Nights competing against NBC's Must See TV Thursday Nights during the 95/96 Season
During the 1st 3 Seasons on Tuesday Nights, 60 Minutes became the #1 Show on Primetime Television and during the Final Season of FH, Seinfeld and ER became the Top 2 Shows of the Season with Seinfeld @ #1 and ER @ #2 and Friends Debut on NBC and it cracked the Top 10
