Russell Brand Files for Divorce from Katy Perry

Russell Brand has filed for divorce from Katy Perry.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," Brand said in a statement.

Brand, 36, and Perry, 27, wed in India in October 2010. They first met at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which Brand hosted.

Seriously, though, it's hard to be surprised. A showbiz marriage featuring people who are probably on the road most of the time, get hit on by all kinds of attractive people, and rarely see each other. What else is new? :rolleyes:
