One of the stars of the HBO series “The Sopranos” talked about the controversial ending of the show -- in which the screen went dark just as it appeared Tony Soprano was about to be killed -- and offered her version of what might have happened next.
Edie Falco, who played Tony Soprano’s wife, Carmela, on the show, made the comments during an interview with TV Guide. Falco will be reunited with her former “Sopranos” sister-in-law Aida Turturro when Turturro, who sparkled as the volatile Janice on “Sopranos,” guests on "Nurse Jackie," the story reports.
Falco, who stars in the Showtime comedy series, said she would like to see another of her former "Sopranos" co-stars on "Nurse Jackie" -- James Gandolfini, who played Tony. She sees a potential Gandolfini appearance on "Jackie" as one way to answer all those questions about the end of "The Sopranos."
She told TV Guide, "I've always had this fantasy of having Jim, as Tony, pulled in on a stretcher in the background, so we'd know he did, in fact, get shot in the restaurant in the finale and ended up at All Saints Hospital. People would finally have an answer as to what the hell happened after the screen went black."
