In the episode Our Father Who's Art Ain't Heaven, Daphne talks to this guy on the phone named Marshall. She hides him from the family by saying she is making Sheep's Head Stew and Haggis, so she can invite him over. We never see him or hear him, she just speaks to him on the phone. We never hear Daphne mention him after this episode. Was that supposed to be an innuendo to Jane's real life husband, Marshall Coben? I know she was married to him by this time. I just found it strange that he was only brought up in this episode and never mentioned again. It's just something I happened to notice. :)

Hey, that's a good catch! I think you must be right... Marshall is not a very common name, and they would have been newlyweds at the time that episode was filmed, so I betcha it was meant to be a fun little inside joke, just like when Niles said Daphne lost the same amount of weight as Jane's new baby weighed. I just saw that episode not that long ago and I even wondered who this Marshall guy was and why we never saw or heard about him again... I knew her husband's name was Marshall but it didn't even connect with me. Nice catch! :)
