Bonnie Franklin's I Hate to Exercise I Love to Tap (1984)

Thirty years ago, Bonnie Franklin played a sassy divorcee on One Day at a Time, now she's a permanent fixture on the theatre scene. Her fitness angle? Tap dancing your flab away -- 'nuff said.

I tried it, but I shrank, my hair turned red, and I developed a temper. Dammit.

Aww. Bonnie looks sweet here in her tap dance instruction video. She seems to believe in what she's doing, she's so exuberant about it and all. :) I didn't know she made this. I'd like to see the whole video, not just 5 1/2 minutes.

I don't think it was so bad. I mean, I know that few if any folks considered her a 'fitness ideal' HOWEVER; the techniques seem fairly legit and, as has been mentioned, she did seem to have fun (which is vital for those who want to stick to any exercise regimen).

P.S. It also should be noted that even though Jane Fonda was the one who STARTED this whole 'star workout video' trend, she herself has since admitted that with anorexia and other serious health issues, she was NOT in 'ideal' shape so maybe the late Miss Franklin was closer to the actual goal.
