Curtis suggested that I check out that movie "High School USA" if I had the chance. I watched it last weekend, and it was very corny but cute. Dana Plato and Todd Bridges have minor roles in it. Dana plays a popular cheerleader and Todd plays kind of a dorky mechanical genius. It was funny to see Todd behaving so differently. I'd recommend any fans of Todd or Dana check it out. For all you ER fans, Anthony Edwards playing the school jock with a full head of hair is pretty funny. Thanks for the recommendation Curtis!

I won an online auction the other day for this movie so it should be in the post to me and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Hi Courtney. Glad to hear you were able to watch the movie. To tell you the truth, I bought the movie only because Michael J. Fox and Dana Plato was in it. And I found it cheap. But, yeah, I agree that it was funny to see them acting differently. Also MJF, I try to watch Family Ties whenever I get the chance and I was so use to see him act like Alex P. Keaton, but in High School USA, he was like the class clown, an underachiever, totally opposite of A.P.K. I also think it would have been cool though if MJF was going out with Dana. Nothing against Nancy Mckeon, I like FOL, just my opinion.

But what did you guys think about Crispin Glover? He literally cracked me up! I thought he was hillarious. That Porche Anthony Edwards drove is the car of my dreams! I'd have to say it's one of my favorite teen 80's movies all time. It's up there with Risky Business and Fast Times at Richmond High. I would also recommend this movie for any Family Ties, MJF fans. Whew, I've been so absent from these boards lately, I feel like a newbie!

Hi Curtis,

Yes, I mainly bought the movie for MJF and Dana as well. I like Nancy McKeon, but I'm not that big of a fan. I would have liked to have seen Dana play her role as well though I can see how she was well suited for the popular cheerleader role too. MJF was about as far from Alex P. as you could get. In some ways, it was hard to believe him as the underacheiver.

Crispin Glover and that fat guy (who reminded me of Horatio Sanz from SNL) were hilarious. Crispin's role in this movie wasn't too off base from his role in Back to the Future.

Cheers, Courtney

I got my copy of it through the mail, and despite the predictible ending I really enjoyed it.

It was interesting that Todd and Dana weren't in a scene together and also when Todd said "saying what" at one point and not "say what"

I thought the acting from everyone was really good and I woul definetly recommend this to anyone who likes Diff'rent Strokes.
