Since Christmas is coming...I thought of showing you a list I made of my 16 favorite Christmas-Themed Specials and Movies.
I have a WORST List, but I'll be saving that for the 26th.
Tweety 12-22-2011, 09:44 PM Lists are always fun!
In terms of movies, I would put "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th Street", (the original of course, not the remakes) at the top of the list.
I actually didn't see "A Christmas Story" until a few years ago (3 or 4 years ago) and I love that movie! It was made back in the 80s, but I never watched it at that time. Now I watch it every year on DVD.
I would put "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at the very top of the list of Christmas specials. In fact, it's the only one I watch. I personally was never impressed with the Grinch, even as a kid. But the reason I'd put Charlie Brown at the top of the list is because it's the only Christmas special that actually incorporates the real reason for Christmas into the storyline.

I would give How The Grinch Stole Christmas another looksie :)
MrCleveland 12-22-2011, 10:08 PM WELL...
I do have a Warning Sign for these lists, because NOT everyone can agree.

I saw that, so I felt safe posting those comments. It's all opinion anyway when it comes to movies and TV shows.

Actually, I think the only reason I'm not a Grinch or Frosty fan is because the Charlie Brown special was (to me) just so much better. The others just seemed like a waste to me, and I never got into them. Also, I'm pretty sure I never saw the Grinch cartoon on TV until after I was past the age to which it was targeted to appeal.
Family Ties Forever! 12-23-2011, 02:09 AM Some of the movies on the list I really like. There are a few I have never seen.
Of course, there are some good Christmas themed tv show episodes as well. :)

I know I could've posted Christmas episodes, like "Family Matters" or "Home Improvement"...but I decided to stick to the Specials and Movies since there's a lot of those episodes.

That'd be on the list too, but choosing 16 was the difficult part.
mets82 12-23-2011, 08:44 PM I would put A Christmas Story, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone as my top 3 specials/movies. I would put Mickey's Christmas Carol but has it been on tv in the past few years? I would put Jingle All the Way and Home Alone 2 on there as well. I'll be honest that Im not a big fan of It's A Wonderful Life. I mean its ok but I'd much rather watch the movies that I listed above ahead of It's a Wonderful Life.

Mickey's Christmas Carol will be on today @ 3 p.m. on ABC Family.
But I didn't care for "Jingle All The Way" featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad. (I think that was right).
