Some songs have lyrics cut out for airplay on radio. Example: Diana Ross' 1969 solo hit "Ain't no Mountain High Enough" has a lot of missing lyrics, (I've heard the long version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and it's true,). Another example is Ray Stevens' 1962 hit "Ahab the Arab".(I've heard the long version of "Ahab the Arab",and this is true, too). Sometimes they play the long versions, sometimes not. Know any other songs that have missing lyrics when they are played on the radio? Titles only, please. And have you ever heard the long version of said songs?

Rezny, could you please use your space bar? Your posts are often are hard to read when everything is jumbled together.

Not sure if this counts, but they always seem to edit out these lyrics from "Money for Nothing" due to some gays being offended by them:
"That little ****** with the earring and the makeup, yeah buddy, that's his own head. That little ******'s got his own jet airplane, that little ******, he's a millionaire".
The lyrics aren't THAT offensive, and anyone still complaining about it needs to get over it.

Some radio stations cut out the line "smoke your marijuanica" in Adam Sandler's "The Hanukkah Song."
The Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane" - "we've been down this highway, haven't seen a godd@mn thing."
Aerosmith's "Janie's Got a Gun" - "she put a bullet in his brain" I've heard replaced with "she left him in the pouring rain."

And the Eagles' "Lyin' Eyes" has these lyrics cut out.."On the other side of town a boy is waiting.(this verse has other lyrics, but I do not know them) and another verse which has been cut out has these lyrics "She wonders how it ever got so crazy".As I said, sometimes they play the version with these lyrics left in,but mostly, they play the edited version, with these lyrics mentioned above cut out.
I am the entertainer, I've come to do my show
You've heard my latest record, it's been on the radio
It took me years to write it, they were the best years of my life
It was a beautiful song but it ran too long
If you're gonna have a hit you gotta make it fit
So they cut it down to 3:05

In "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" they change the line of "I done told you once you son of a bitch...", to "son of a gun". And the radio usually edits out Alanis Morrissette's "chicken ****" line from "Hand in My Pocket", substituting "chicken chicken".
