AB 12-13-2011, 05:50 PM The chase seems a lot more fun, unless they drag out for 9 or 10 seasons. andress_jade 12-14-2011, 01:27 AM It depends on the couple, really. Like Ross and Rachel for example, they were on again, off again for so long that by the time Friends decided to unite them we weren't as interested anymore. Of course we still tuned in to see if the show would actually unite them, which they did even though the anticipation was better than the actual outcome. It's almost like we knew they would get together, we just didn't know how. The execution could have definitely been better. I was hoping that Ross would catch Rachel at the airport before she got on the plane, instead we see Rachel come to Ross at his apartment. I mean he went through so much to find her and yet she comes to him. I was a bit disappointed. :( Niles and Daphne on Frasier is a good example. I for one love them, they are one of my favorite couples. Their love story is a long one. It started out one sided on Niles part for seven seasons until Daphne found out and realized that she loved Niles as well. There were a lot of cute scenes between them before they got together as well as a lot of funny ones but after they got together it was magic. They were one of the most believable and realistic couples on television and that is one of the reasons why I loved them so much. After seven years, it was just the right time to get them together. I don't know how much longer the Niles and Daphne fans could have gone on waiting for them to unite until they finally gave up. That was the smartest thing the show ever could have done and seven years later, Niles and Daphne are still one of the most popular television couples ever. They are still loved and talked about ad that is what I call success. :) |
