I agreee about Leno, but I never found the guy all that great to begin with.

They should have given Conan more than seven months. They gave Leno a few years to bring his numbers up.

Personally, I'm a Ferguson/Fallon guy now myself. Conan too has lost his edge. Such a shame!!

I haven't liked Leno since Conan was forced off The Tonight Show.

And it's a shame that Conan was only given mere months to raise the roof on the ratings while Leno was given forever and some un-Godly number of days to raise the roof on his slumping ratings.

Leno and Letterman are just...beyond. They've been done for years. I guess they still appeal to the older crowd, though, if only for nostalgia purposes. I certainly don't get their appeal.

The main thing I don't like is how he doesn't talk about sports anymore like he used to. He makes one quick joke about sports and then moves on to something else

He beats Conan and Letterman because the older crowd continues to give him their attention. Conan/Jimmy are the future and their comedy is far more fresh and original and even more fun. I just calls it likes I sees it. It's my opinion. I'm not a sore loser for having an opinion. I find Leno super boring.

You don't need stand-up experience to tell a good joke. Conan wrote for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons in its prime. There's not much better comedy experience than that.

Not a single major netwok wanted to sign Conan so he was relegated to the wasteland of TBS where even Chelsea Handler has beaten him in the ratings!

The main reason Conan bombed at Tonight was due to his HORRIBLE opening monologue. Leno really draws you in with a great opening monologue while Conan did just the opposite. He caused you to change the channel!

It's not that simple. CBS and ABC already had their late night lineups firmly in place, while most Fox affiliates had lucrative syndicated deals for shows (mostly sitcoms reruns) in that slot, which actually make them more money than network programming.

I think if that wasn't the case, you'd definitely have seen a new Conan O'Brien show on one of those networks.

I agree. The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien was the only version of The Tonight Show I watched every night (that I could) and loved. He did so much good in such a short time, but alas now it's back to the way it was. So I don't watch it, lol.

Although I have seen it from time to time with Leno but that's just so I can honestly say I've seen it and it didn't make me laugh. So... I've seen it and it didn't make me laugh. Leno has zero humor to me. That's why he works. He's got the bland mainstream comedy. That appeals to people. It takes more than that to get me to laugh though and that's where Conan O'Brien comes in - the funniest host I have ever seen.
