Would A Lenny & Squiggy spin-off been successful or were they better suited to play second bananas to Laverne & Shirley?

Nope. The boys would have to be "normalized" if they were the main characters of their own show, or they'd need an equally ranked "straight man" as a co star to balance their own wackiness. While the character of Lenny was capable of being normalized, Squiggy was not and the show would have been unfunny and uneven. The boys were their best as second bananas to Laverne and Shirley.

Lenny and Squiggy was better in small doses. I hope I dont see a Ralph and Potsie TV Show thread :eek:
