Read all about it in the Los Angeles Times article linked below.
I wondered why Dennis McClellan (an LA Times staff writer) had written so many articles about the Nelsons in the newspaper over the years (heck, decades). Guess this explains it!

It would be nice if one or more of the TV cast and crew wrote about how the show was made each week. Hopefully there are several people still alive who have fond memories about the production of the show.
OH Nuts!

What a wonderful article. Honestly, one of the reasons I think I'm a fan of the Nelsons, and anthing Nelson, is their generosity to their fans and the public. Always, heard she was a very gracious lady and what a pity the book didn't take hold. God I wished I had met her.
Her grandkids carry on a fine tradition- when I met Matt and Gunnar they couldn't have been more nice. And Sam, in my interactions with him has been gracious as well.
Sam really seems to have Ozzie's business acumen and savvy and I hope his project of restoring all the shows comes to full bloom.
As for the Nelson's having their pecadillos, big deal. The fact that they had problems in real life...well...it makes them real, which only makes them more endearing. (Who wants to deal with stars who come across like they never go to the bathroom? I want to admire real people not celluloid fantasy tales!)

I had hoped David would write a book someday, but now he's gone. Ozzie's autobio is a nice read, but apparently David did not have the interest in reliving his past. His Disney Channel special on the family is very nice, though. I hope Sam will get around to looking at that someday, definately deserves to be released on dvd/blu-ray/brain scan.
