"All My Children" Alum Cameron Mathison to Woo Bree on "Desperate Housewives"

He may not be going back to Pine Valley, but Cameron Mathison is headed to another one of TV's most picturesque neighborhoods: Wisteria Lane.

The "All My Children" alum will appear on an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives, TVGuide.com has confirmed.





"I play one of Bree's lovers," Mathison tells ABC Soaps In Depth, which reported his guest role. "We have a couple of fun scenes. I really loved working with Marcia Cross. She is very kind and generous."

The episode is tentatively scheduled to air in January, according to the magazine.





This will be Mathison's first TV appearance since "AMC" left the air in September. He was originally set to follow the long-running ABC soap to its new online home in 2012.

However, Prospect Park, the company behind the online move, suspended production last month on the online versions of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live", citing financial and logistical problems.
