Hello out there from TV Land,
My name is Danny Hooley, alias bobola, and I am a 27-year-old (as of Friday, December 9, 2011) aspiring playwright/producer/director & actor, having appeared as a performer in 8 community theater productions via the Averitt Center for the Arts based in my hometown of Statesboro, Georgia, an hour Southeast of the Georgia coast.
With all this in mind, though an official script has not been written (yet), I am in the process of writing a tribute play for Jim Henson that I call Muppet Mania: A Tribute to Jim Henson and His Imagination.
The focal point of the play (which, provided everything goes smoothly, WILL be performed at the local Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County NEXT Fall) is an almost word-for-word verbatim re-enactment of Jims funeral mixed with highlights from his lifelong career as a puppeteer.
What I NEED, though, is character development, and by that, I mean HOW to incorporate the real-life tragedy of Jims brother Paul, killed in a 1956 car accident at age 24, into the production.
ANY suggestions of character development are welcome.
