born2late 12-07-2011, 03:48 PM He had not only a long life, but a long career. He is in one of my favorite Christmas movies, "Holiday Affair." RIP Mr. Morgan.

R.I.P., Col. Potter.
Retro4Life 12-07-2011, 07:27 PM The role of Sherman T. Potter was made tailor made for Morgan, and he took it and ran. Unforgettable character.
:rip:
Mr. Television 12-07-2011, 07:52 PM One of the greatest sitcom actors of all time and one of the few tv actors that had still been around from the 1950's. Sherman Potter was a great character and Mr. Morgan was great in that role. R.I.P. Harry. :(
DYNAMIC D 12-07-2011, 09:04 PM Colonel Sherman T. Potter was the best, make no horse hockey, beaver biscuits, or buffalo bagels about it.
Godspeed, Mr. Morgan. You'll never be forgotten.

80sTrivia 12-08-2011, 05:43 AM Sad to hear the news of Harry's passing. He had a long and well-lived life and a highly successful career. He will be missed... :(
old grouch 12-08-2011, 12:09 PM He had not only a long life, but a long career. He is in one of my favorite Christmas movies, "Holiday Affair." RIP Mr. Morgan.
That's one of my favorite Christmas movies, too. RIP Harry.
McGillicuddy 12-08-2011, 12:27 PM On the finale of M.A.S.H. when everyone was sharing what they planned to do when they went home, Col. Potter said, I will just be happy to be Mrs. Potter's Mr. Potter. That was so touching!
caladon 12-08-2011, 07:47 PM His longevity both personally and professionally reminded me of this line from a Star Trek - TNG episode.
"No Goodbyes, just good memories."
Miss Lisa 12-08-2011, 09:15 PM RIP Harry Morgan.
When I put it on my fb that he had just passed away, I found out that a lot of kids my age actually knew who he was, and not just from MASH. That's saying a lot about his talent considering that a lot of people in show business today will not be remembered ten years from now.
sixfingers 03-31-2012, 01:58 PM Duh duh duh duh,
duh duh duh duh duhhhhhhh!
sixfingers 03-31-2012, 02:00 PM He wasn't a WW1 veteran, but he played one on TV, and he died just over 9 months after the last US veteran of WW1 died.
Yong Fang 04-30-2012, 02:23 AM He was actually born during WWI in 1915.
He was two years older than JFK (which showed how young JFK was).
