Hi there! I am new here to SitcomsOnline and hope to learn a lot from ALL of you.

With this in mind, as some of you are aware, The Walt Disney Company, over the last 15+ years, has bought a NUMBER of properties, among them The ABC Television Network, Pixar, and The Muppets to name 3 examples.

Here are SEVERAL other properties that I WISH would be bought by Disney, hence the title of the post, My DREAM Disney Acquisitions.

1. The Jim Henson Company -- An OBVIOUS choice in my opinion, considering Disney already snagged The Muppets successfully away from them, they should consider buying the entire rest of the company (FYI: Before his death, Jim Henson did sell off his old Muppet characters to Disney in order to make new Muppet characters, but the deal fell through soon after Jim died).

2. Nickelodeon -- Currently owned by MTV Networks/Viacom, Nickelodeon, in my opinion, along with related companies such as MTV Networks, should be sold to Disney by Viacom, and my reasoning for saying this is because if Disney does buy Nickelodeon from Viacom, ratings MIGHT soar.

3. The Carsey-Werner Company -- Currently one of the most successful independent production companies of all time, The Carsey-Werner Company is behind SEVERAL of Americas TV favorites from the 1980s to the present.

If any of you here have ANY other suggestions of Dream Disney Acquisitions, feel free to share it here. Until next time, take care.

I would like to see a Vault Disney Channel.

This would merge what Vault Disney had and Toon Disney. Toon Disney only lasted 11 years before it became Disney XD, but before it even does that...The "Disney" Channel (I put Disney in quotation marks because there's NOTHING remotely Disney about it but the logo) should do what Teen Nick did...have shows from the 90's and find out how the ratings go and once that happens...then have a Vault Disney Channel.

That...or get Ted Turner to buy anything from The Disney Library prior to Walt's death (1923-1966). This could be interesting...have The Big Three of Cartoons (Disney, MM/LT, MGM) all under one roof!

I'd like to see something similar to what MrCleveland mentioned. They could call it "Walt" or "WED (Walter Elias Disney)" to avoid any confusion with The Disney Channel.

It could be along the lines of MGM HD and Turner Classic Movies. It would show nothing but classic Disney theatrical and television productions from the 1920s to the 1990s, all with introductions, and all mastered in HD and in their original aspect ratio.

It would be great to once again have a Disney channel that adults can enjoy with their kids.

I truly agree.

Let's make a petition for this, and get the people of Disney to wake-up and realize that the older shows are as good as the new stuff...if not better!
