I'm pretty sure I never saw any of the Charlie Sheen episodes except one or two when Michael J. Fox came back. How was the show when Charlie Sheen joined the cast?. Worth watching? I think Charlie Sheen is a good actor and was great on Two and a Half Men, but I don't think anybody could replace Michael J. Fox, plus I heard that several actors left when Michael did so I'm not sure if I'd be interested in watching those episodes unless the show was still good.

I wouldn't say that the show was awful when Sheen joined but it was subpar. Michael J. Fox was the show. I watched the show for about 6 months after Fox left and then I gave up on it. 3 other cast members also left with no explanation of where they went. Spin City didn't even have a propper conclusion. As far as I'm concerned the episode where Mike left should have been the final episode.
It went down the tubes after MJF left! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115369/board/flat/78707529?p=1) :(

The best summary (http://officialfan.proboards.com/thread/536447/spin-city-after-season-4) that I found regarding the differences between the Michael J. Fox episodes and the Charlie Sheen episodes is that it went from a political satire sitcom to just an office sitcom (where it felt like 90% if it was about Charlie's love life and the rest about politics).
