I love this time of year! I'm bummed that I missed Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer. I can't wait for A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I have those on DVD....it just isn't Christmas without Rankin and Bass.

I also have them on dvd but, enjoy watching them on tv. You're right it wouldn't be Christmas without Rankin Bass.

It's good to see they're still getting aired on TV, and Charlie Brown too.

I've also welcomed Shrek The Halls and Ice Age: Mamoth Christmas as new future classics very cool season this year.

This is nerdy, but I wish the Peanuts specials were still on CBS.

And sponsored by Dolly Madison and Coca Cola.

With the intro that said Special at the very beginning.

Yeah! I actually wish they'd restore all the little bits they cut out of the special due to Coke dropping their sponsorship. The edits are very noticeable.

Yeah the intro! I have that on tape recorded years ago! I now have most of the old Christmas cartoons on dvd . But I do miss those Dolly Madison and great Coke commercials! Classics!

I miss 'twas the night before christmas. ABC family cuts out a whole song when they show it. I picked it up on dvd a few years ago.

yes, they are. For instance at the beginning when they're on the ice playing "Crack the whip" and Charlie Brown & Linus go flying off, you see Charlie Brown crash into a tree but you don't see where Linus goes. That's because in the original broadcast, he crashes into a Coca-Cola sign.
And at the end, after they show the closing credits there's a pause then it says A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS and below it THE END
Well, the pause is because, in the original broadcast it also said SEASONS GREETINGS FROM YOUR COCA-COLA BOTTLERS

My favorite movie....most people have never heard of. It's called "Santa Claus conquers the Martians" It's not Christmas until we pull out the video and play it :)
