I've looked on a few sites but can't find all 6 of them in new condition and shipping from the US. I had a friend check our local stores for them but she couldn't find them either. I am getting them for Christmas and want to find most if not all of them.

Have you tried Amazon.com? I know you could always get them there and a quick check just now looks like they are all still there.

Your other best bet is probably Ebay.

Mine were in great condition. I needed to watch them ASAP (which was no problem for me) because if they were faulty I would get a store credit for another purchase.

It is nice to see the original episodes.

The pawn store is Pawn America, one of the nicer pawn stores. Very nice and clean stores, very nice staff.

is it one of those store chains that have many stores around the country or is it just one place?

I shop at Pawn America adn it is very nice. It has 22 stores in four states and I am in Minnesota. It is funny that you asked that - the Sunday paper here did a story on Pawn America and how it has revamped it's image over the last few years from a so-so place into a very pleasant retail shop. People often go there first, especially for jewelry.

And UM DVD's!!

I don't know how a lot of you feel, but I for one was pretty disappointed by the DVD sets. Four of the Six sets focused on what I'd call generally unsolvable cases (UFO's, Ghosts, Miracles, and Strange Legends) and they all came in the last RS format instead of the original NBC format I'd been hoping for. There has been plenty of discussion about why a release of all the original episodes isn't likely, and I accept that. But like I said, I was hoping for the sets in the old format with a set for each case type. I will concede that some of these probably wouldn't sell very well to the general public- like a Missing Persons set of cases which would be mostly from the late 70's thru early 90's. At least we still have personal collections and the internet.

On the positive side, I found that the Stack tribute and commentary tracks included on the sets were really interesting. Also, I think the release of these sets probably was a way to guage interest in starting the show up again. What I think of that show is material for a different thread.:p

One last thing- I don't know of anyone that purchased the "Ultimate Collection" but it appears to just be a re-packaging of all 6 DVD sets.
I'd hate to see someone who owns the sets accidentally buy this.:(

I have already got the Bizarre Murders set in my possession but can't open it until Christmas. My mom's brother is getting ghosts and/or miracles sets for me and my dad's sister is getting the last three (UFOs, psychics and strange legends) sets for me. Hope I won't be disappointed like the last poster was. I do think, however, a giant set with ALL the episodes would be super but that might be doubtful due to the time it'd take compiling everything and then getting the general public to be interested in buying it (especially non-fans of the show). Can't wait until Christmas when I get all 6 sets. :)
