This is what he had to say (btw, his name on Ioffer is rosentvandmusic and he was selling the Jackie Gleason Show episode with Groucho.)
"Absolutely not! No one will have them!! I spoke to the licensor 2 yrs ago of the color dvds and they weren't able to even release many 1-hr color shows due to licensing/music problems. In our lifetimes you & I will never see those shows."
I understand the problems with the music and such. Like some of you, I just want to see the short Color sketches. I don't care about the rest of the Jackie Gleason Show episodes that they were attached to.

I'm sure the fees for licensing are astronomical!

Well, glory be. Fast forward 11 years later, and these short sketches (except for Incredible World of Ed Norton) have appeared on multiple DVD releases. (Some have been released three times. Remember there are two versions of Jackie Gleason Show In Color releases. The big one has seven sketches. One single disc release has I think four.) Also, they appear on MPI’s Jackie Gleason Timeless Treasures DVD set. But, like I said Incredible World is still missing.

Also missing the great singing of Crazy Gugenheim. I watched the commercial releases and when I saw Frank Fontaine was supposed to be in a show they would show the comedy bit but as soon as Frank was about to sing a song POOF it was chopped off. Infuriating to say the least. Glad I get to hear him sing in the Sounds Like Radio shows, Volume 110 being the latest appearance of "Crazy" and a Frank song.
