Yesterday the Postman delivered four Movies I ordered from "The Big River" on DVD. Opening the package I discovered that one of those Movies was one of those "Manufactured on Demand" (MOD) DVD-R Disks. From what I read, these kinds of disks have a "Copy Protection" encryption that won't let you play them on a DVD Player that also has recording ability, or on a Computer with a DVD Burner. Bad news for me, because the only DVD Player in my house that doesn't record is the portable DVD Player I use when I travel. I placed the disk in my DVD Player/Recorder and, as I expected, after the "FBI Warning" Nothing Happened. :( So I placed the disk in my Computer's DVD Tray, expecting a simular "rejection". :p

Instead, my Computer's Disk Copying Program came on and prompted me to begin copying the disk! :eek: I clicked the go-ahead and the resulting copy plays PERFECTLY in my TV Set's Player! :D

Anybody explain how this happened?:confused:

PS As for the Studio that released the movie I got don't worry, I WILL NOT MAKE COPIES to give out. As they say in a certain Cracker Commercial, "Get your own box!" :lol:
