Were the movie remakes done so well, that doing a remake of the tv series is virtually impossible to try?

If memory serves, Fox Family did one in the '90s that was based more on the movies than the '60s series or the Charles Addams cartoons. I don't remember if it was any good, though.
What do you think about Tim Burton's upcoming stop-motion movie, Brian? I'm looking forward to it.

No, they did it in the 90's they were pretty good. John Astin actually did a couple of appearances on the new show, his character met someone who erily looked like the original Morticia.

The movies were fine but there is no way to reasonably capture any 60's comedy. As good as Christoper Lloyd was as Fester, how can you ever replace Jackie Coogan?
