"South Park" Renewed for Three More Seasons

That wacky grade-school quartet of South Park will be stirring up trouble for at least three more seasons. MMM-kay?

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have reached a new deal to continue cable's longest-running animated series, Comedy Central announced Wednesday.

That means the Peabody- and Emmy-winning series will be on the air through 2016 and reach its 20th season.






Parker and Stone — who tackle topical humor with the best on television — will continue to write, direct and edit each episode, just as they have since the series started in 1997.

"The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds," Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless said. "Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans ... We're thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016."

For their part, Parker and Stone said: "South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more."

"South Park" may be on as long as "The Simpsons" soon...25 Years, but it seems to stay fresh for some odd apparent reason.:confused:
