The new TNT reboot of the CBS primetime soap opera "Dallas" will include appearances by two more of the show's original cast, reports TV Guide.
Charlene Tilton and Steve Kanaly will be among the guests at a wedding scene in the new "Dallas" pilot. They will also be appearing in the show's fourth episode, set at Southfork, the Ewing family mansion.
Tilton is reprising her role as Lucy Ewing, JR (Larry Hagman) and Bobby's (Patrick Duffy) niece; and Kanaly will again play the ranch hand Ray Krebbs.
TNT's "Dallas" is expected to premiere in the summer of 2012, with Hagman, Duffy and another original, Linda Gray, all in the lineup.

I always like Steve's character, Ray. I'm glad they included him.

This makes me mad they are not on the show as regulars. After all, "Dallas" was not just Bobby, JR and Sue Ellen.....
ps Ray was my favorite out of all them. And, I read Ray was a Ewing- half sibling????? From an affair perhaps??

It bugs me that Steve and Charlene just appeared for seconds and that was it. I want to know what Ray and Lucy are doing!

I just realized something....well, actually last night as I was watching season 4 when Ray finds out hes a Ewing. He was having an affair with his niece.
Still though, I'm glad he is a Ewing & when I watch the show JR and Ray actually look like Jock. They found the best actors to resemble each other. (their father)

Yeah I suppose they just assumed people would forget or not pay attention. It was 3 seasons later anyway. :happyface

We've had the new Dallas here in the UK for the past month on a minor Channel 5 midweek, with six of the original cast looking past it apart from Sue Ellen who has worn rather well. I don't get the sense that they are actually in Dallas-it could be set anywhere..there is no light relief in the script and no maternal figure yet as there was with Miss Ellie back in 1978 when the show was originally aired on a Tuesday night on BBC1 and sparked little initial interest. I reserve judgement but the new series has not set the world alight, apart from a couple of raunchy sex scenes between John Ross and his girlfriend which were far more explicit than anything aired 34 years ago..
