You are a singer, and just won a Grammy for "Best Song." At your speech, shouldn't you first thank your fans, since you wouldn't have a job without your fans? Then thank other people/God after. Too many Award winners thank their fans way down the list, which I think is wrong.

To me the Thank list should be

Fans
God
Parents/Family members/friends
Managers/Agents/Record label staff
Music teachers/singing coaches.

It is wrong because although their staff and family is important, without people to actually like their music they're pretty much one-hit wonders... if that.

You bring up a very good point! Sometimes the artist even forgets to thank the fans.

after all, who buys and downloads their music, which leads to sales? the fans, so there is an argument for that.
