Family Ties Forever! 11-14-2011, 09:48 PM I'm thankful for family. I am thankful that five months into my brother's initial cancer diagnosis that he's still alive. Hopefully this Thanksgiving my family and I will be thankful for what we hope will turn out to be a positive surgery process. Also, I'm thankful for my two cats. They are cute and so loveable. :cat: :cat:
I am thankful for friends. I have a great friend in Janice and am very thankful for that. :) Thanks for always being there for me. :) All the hours on the phone chatting and laughing have been great. :D Then getting to meet up and visit was even better!  It's so cool that I signed up at SO 9 & 1/2 years ago and gained a best friend because of it.
Also I am thankful for the three friendships I have had with former teachers. When I was in school I didn't have friends. I was too different and the other kids didn't like me. It was nice to have a role model and someone that wanted to spend time with me. One was a [now retired] middle school teacher and the other two teach high school and plan to retire at the end of the school year.
My wife, my son, my parents and my brothers.

I like your list and yours too Shine. Thanks for responding. I feel that if we have water, food, home, electricity, and the basic comforts of home, we are all better off than at least 50% of the world. :)

Janice 11-16-2011, 05:50 PM My husband. God. Being completely debt free, and the fact that my husband and I don't work and don't have to worry about $$. With today's rotten economy, I know that, in itself, is a huge blessing. My two beautiful kitties add so much to our lives. Last, but certainly not least, I'm thankful for Jenny. We're always there for each other. Meeting her last month was beyond wonderful. :)
