Orlando -- No matter what the guy does, Marc Price will always be known as "Skippy," Michael J. Fox's sidekick on NBC's 80's mega-hit "Family Ties." But the actor is now a stand-up comedian, taking after his father. He stopped by our Orlando studios Wednesday. Here's a portion of what went down:
Allison Walker: Marc, thanks for being with us!
Marc Price: I've grown to cope. I grew up as a child in Hollywood.
AW: You're at Bonkerz Comedy Club in Daytona Beach this weekend. Who influenced your comedic stylings?
MP: My dad probably more than anyone else. I wanted to follow in his footsteps and now I am doing it.
AW: Can you believe it's been 30 years --
MP: Will you stop reminding people?!
AW: -- since you were doing dumb things on Family Ties, didn't you?
MP: Thirty years! I feel, I've never felt so old as right this minute.
AW: Well I'm right there with you.
MP: But, uh, it was a long time ago, but it was a good time.
AW: And you saw the [Family Ties] cast recently for a big award show, right?
MP: Yea, we all got together again. It was as if we had never parted ways.
AW: What did Michael J. Fox tell you when you saw him?
MP: He said, uh, "Sorry, Pal." (We crack up.) Well, we all sort of hung out, you know. We had a meal together and everything, but Justine Bateman - I will forever be in love with her. And I met her husband for the first time, and I don't want to say he's a little nerdy, but I might've had a chance. That's all I'm saying. She has two beautiful children. And Jason Bateman, her brother, has one with another one on the way. I just bumped into him. The kids are having kids. Well, they're all grown up now.
AW: They're allowed to do that now. Anyway, we're going to see you at Bonkerz. Price is performing Nov. 11-12 at Bonkerz Comedy Club at La Playa Resort and Suites in Daytona Beach at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Then on Nov. 26, he's at Groucho's in Melbourne at 8:30 p.m.
MP: Fantastico. Love your guts.
