My parents cancelled some plans the last two years.
Brad Russ 11-06-2011, 07:21 PM Pretty much every luxery thing other then cable, internet, and electricity, although we often get those things cancelled for us too. lol Atleast three times in the last five months or so.
ZeldaGilroy 11-06-2011, 09:30 PM I had my home phone, high speed internet, and cable shut off to save money. I did go ahead and get cheaper internet service, but it is not great and messes up a lot, but at least I can get online.

I had my home phone reduced to $25.34 a month
Yooch 11-07-2011, 12:11 AM No one particular thing, but we've cut down on several luxuries (eat out less often, fewer tasty snacks, unnecessary car trips) etc., but that's ok.
born2late 11-07-2011, 01:14 AM After my Comcast bill went up at least $30.00 in the last few years, I had to cancel it.
Schmoopie 11-07-2011, 01:40 AM We got new cell phone service but that was about a year ago. It's extremely basic and I wish my phone had a camera like my old one, but it is nice that it's much cheaper. We also reduced our Netflix to one at a time.
catlover79 11-07-2011, 01:41 AM Magazine subscriptions.
Nighthawk76 11-07-2011, 02:49 AM Not really anything. I just try to watch what I spend. I was out of work for nearly two years but now have been back at Target for nearly a year and a half. I didn't expect to end up back at Target with a college education but I am working and no longer sitting around hoping for a job. Also due to the tough economic times I'm back in school working on my master's. The ways things are now, the more eduucation the better.
old grouch 11-07-2011, 10:52 AM Let's just say Christmas is gonna be a little tight this year.
OH Nuts! 11-07-2011, 04:54 PM I eat out much much less (maybe only 5% of what I did last year), buy almost no DVDs (borrow fr Library or record from TV) & very little travel (mostly do stay-cations and day-trips)
Brieannas21 11-07-2011, 05:26 PM Nothing really. We cut down on going for drives.
We cancelled our landline phone service & those major movie channels on cable. I sure do miss my HBO.
Riley Martin 11-07-2011, 07:13 PM Movie channels on satellite. Don't really miss them looking back on it, but always tune in when the weekend free previews are on about 2-3 times a year...;)
phoebe7165 11-07-2011, 07:47 PM I got my landline phone disconnected on purpose only because I was hardly using it. Got my cable turned off just couldn't afford it for a while, so I went without for about 9 months. Since the cable got cut off, internet got cut, too, so I either went to the library and used theirs or I used my cell. Now the boyfriend's moved in, he's helping with bills.
The Great One 11-07-2011, 09:15 PM I've had to cancel Comcast cable.
