Sally Fields was the cutest Nun that I have ever seen, she also developed into a great actress. I still have fond memories of that show, but a show so innocent would not make it in today's society. In fact none of the shows of the 60s or 70s would survive today, because the language is more vulgar and morals are completely different today. What may have been considered funny 30 years ago, would be considered silly today, but everyone including Generaion X seems to Love Lucy.

She's really cute in Gidget too. I've been steady watching the old series. I've forgotten alot of it.

I'm in love with Bertrille.....LOL. When I tell Sean and Lynn that, they call it "nun porn." But I get mad.....Sally is just very beautiful!

Regarding all of your comments Tiger, you may not have pounced on the many reruns of all of the great shows - and some of the comedies now (The Olsen Twins, and BOY MEETS WORLD which kinda thought and still do think is decent are some exceptions). However I just at the last minute read your comment about I LOVE LUCVY and GEN X.

Tiger32, I'd like to add to your comments that I more agree with the 1983 book TV SITCOMS IN SYNDICATION (Joel Eisner; McFarlane Press, North Carolina) that shows like BACHELOR FATHER with later CHARLIES ANGEL boss John Forsythe would be the one not to make it due to an Oriental serant as a regular (Sammee Tong, also on BEANY AND CECIL and Mickey Rooney's shows, very underrated character actor).

I think that even more than EVER because MANY of today's mores are different, these shows ARE enjoying huge reruns BECAUSE of it (you don't have to be an Ann Coulter type to like these shows--what about GILLIGAN or the BEAVER, for Pete's sake?:D )

But again we both acknoledge EVERY genetation loves Lucy (even if she is a little overmeerchandised, to put it mildly).

Sorry to make one more rpely to you< TIger but I admit you were talking about if the show were made NOW it (remeber most of this is OPINION and part is FACT) would not survive--agian racial stereotypes would be much less likely to make it. As I say I think it's a high (even more than Sister Bertrille coudl fly) time that the reruns get popualrity.....I think we all agree here!

Well to qoute a phrase I heard somewhere "Evrything old becomes new again " , I mean I'm too young to have seen TFN when it originally was on but now I can see it "new" in re-runs , so it's new to me and maybe a new group of fans can be obtained , heck it got me !
