Family Guy star Alex Borstein has claimed that the show should continue for "four or five more years".

Seth MacFarlane, creator of the animated Fox sitcom, recently suggested that the series may have already run its course.

However, Borstein told Digital Spy: "Those of us involved in it, and the writers, feel like we still have four or five more years of amazing storytelling in us, and all these ideas and things we still want to do."

The voice actress added that she understands MacFarlane's concerns, calling his recent statement "fear-based".

"I totally get that feeling that you want to go out on top and you don't want to outstay your welcome," she said. "He's so committed, as we all are, to not just continuing to make a show for the sake of making it, but wanting it to be great."

Borstein continued: "As long as it's still funny and making us laugh, I think that's how long you keep going."

The show stopped being funny some years ago. They're playing the same game The Simpsons writers have been playing for 13 years.

I'll Watch "Family Guy" even if it's on for 30 seasons!

One thing that "The Simpsons" NEVER had was...The Cutway Gag!

Family Guy has lost a step or two, but certainly is more funny than a lot of sitcoms on the air today. JMO
