Maybe someone mentioned this before, but did you ever notice they wore the same clothes everyday ? Little joe (green shirt), Adam (dark blue or black clothes), Hoss (white shirt,tan vest), with all his money,you would think Ben could buy his boys new duds. What a cheapo.

I certainly noticed. that was done on other shows too, mostly westerns. That's the way it was on Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and others. I read once that they could use stock footage for certain scenes at a distance.

I just thought in those days 1880's whenever the time frame was, there wasn't a lot of choice. I suppose Ben and his family has a few Sunday best but I tend to think they had 3 of the same clothes. One in the wash, one in the drawer and one to wear.

In the first couple of seasons they wore different clothes all the time, a lot of variety, but eventually they did always seem to wear basically the same thing, with a little variation now and then.
