Can anyone explain the layout of the Family Ties house, primarily the main floor? How are the kitchen, living room, and dining room connected? I can never figure this out.

I could be wrong, but I think if you go through the kitchen, you hit the dining room and if you keep going to the right, past the dining room, you hit the living room.
