Ubisoft has had success over the years bringing hit TV shows like "CSI", "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: New York" to PC and console gamers worldwide.

Now the company is adding to the gameplay experience with new Facebook games based on those hit television properties and more.

Ubisoft is developing a full suite of social online games based on "NCIS", "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "House, M.D." for the growing number Facebook consumers.

Developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, Method and Ubisoft San Francisco, "CSI: Miami", "House, M.D.: Critical Cases" and "NCIS: Major Crimes" will be the first Facebook games released.

Facebook games based on "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "CSI: New York" will follow later in 2012.

"Our license-based Facebook titles have performed well this year, including The Smurfs & Co. and CSI: Crime City," said Chris Early, vice president of digital publishing at Ubisoft.

"With CSI: Miami, House, M.D.: Critical Cases and NCIS: Major Crimes, we’re giving more fans new ways of being a part of and sharing in their favorite fictional worlds."

Ubisoft shipped its first "NCIS" console game today for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.

That game features likenesses from the entire cast of the show, including Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray, Pauly Perrette, Cote de Pablo, Robert Wagner and David McCallum.

McCallum and Wagner also provided voice acting for the game.

NCIS: Major Crimes puts players in the role of a probie as they work alongside animated versions of actors from the show like Harmon, Perrette, Weatherly and Murray as they work crime scenes, interrogate suspects, and visit memorable locations from the show.

Launching in early 2012, friends can also form field teams to solve additional cases.
