I was in the checkout line waiting my turn , when I have to wait I usually pick up one of the tabloids & read them just for fun. I picked up Star. On page 10 is a little article about Nancy. It was tabloidish junk. Saying she started drinking when she was 2.

Drinking "Apple juice" was what they meant, it's an inside joke, not a good one, but an inside joke. ;)

and yes, they were talking about that fashion show with the screwdriver...

Yes, they totally took something she said out of context. Like you said, it's tabloid junk and deserves to be ripped up.
...Except for the part that talks about how she's starring in LIFETIME's TD and has helped bring LIFETIME to the top ranked cable network...that can stay:D

Here is the article:

NANCY MCKEON, who's back on TV playing an alcoholic cop on the Lifetime series The Division, reveals she had her first real-life brush with booze at just 2 years old!
McKeon who charmed audiences from 1979 to 1988 as tomboy Jo Polniaczek on The Facts of Life, was backstage at a fashion show as a tot when she accidentally grabbed a drink that looked like orange juice.
"It was a screwdriver and a few sips later, I was looped and stumbling down the aisle dressed in cowgirl gear and holding my cap guns," says McKeon, 35. "I think I creadted a festive opening to the fashion show though."
These days McKeon is stil carrying a gun, but playing Inspector Jinny Exstead, a cop who has just come out of rehab. Thanks to McKeon's compelling performance, the series about female cops is one of the highest rated shows on cable.
"My character is kind of getting reaquainted with the world without the haze," says McKeon. "It's a big difference for her- doing things without the aid of substances
