I found this "Lost Love" segment listed in the Unsolved Mysteries Wiki. It was about a woman looking for her serviceman father who left Germany and her mom didn't go with him. I assume it's been solved, but does anyone know for sure? A quick search of the internet finds a fair amount of data about him. This case is listed as unsolved, but I wonder if that's only because they never updated it.

They update their Wiki quite frequently, so if it was solved they would've edited it by now.

I meant the show never updated it. The information I found was less than complimentary, so maybe there was no happy ending.

I work very often on Unsolved wiki and I made the page about Bruce Bradney, and the case was featured about a military lost love roll call. It was the original broadcast I know because one of the cases was later updated but it wasn't updated on the video. I don't know if the case was ever solved, but I would assume so.

EDIT: We label a case "unsolved" until we find something (e.g. a newspaper article, a new video on the forbidden site) that proves that it has been solved or updated. For example, the Antranik Geurvjehizian segment, about the baliff of Judge Lance Ito who was murdered by a prowler in his neighbor's yard. I thought that the case was unsolved, which is why it was labeled "unsolved" until I found an article online that said in 1997 his killer was identified, arrested, and convicted of his murder. So, Bruce bradney might very well have been found, but we label it "unsolved" until something proves it otherwise.

Understood.
And just because he's easy to find now doesn't mean there was ever a reunion. Perhaps his daughter gave up or (I hope not) died before she could find him.

I do hope they quietly found each other and Christina got the closure she wanted and it just never made the web.

Was looking at this guy also. Seems there was more than one Bruce Bradney, but yeah, definitely easy to find info. Gotta love the internet. Found some wedding records in Texas that would be for a Bruce C. Bradney about the right age, an obit for a woman with a son named Bruce Bradney from Il (where he was last known to be according to the wiki) except in Vienna instead of Alton. Strange the only reference I could find to Alton was an OLD article from before he was in Germany.

However, I've noticed there's no info about him on the UM website. I'd wonder if this would indicate he was found and we just don't get an update?

So, if the details are right.. The missing person was one "Bruce Curtis Bradney" born in August 1940.

Holy crap..

This guy married Lorraine Bradney on July 17, 1976.

They divorced July 23, 1976

He married a Virginia Rose Nixon/Moore on July 30, 1976

I think he was married.. MANY times. I show he died in Illinois in 2017.

i'm asking a person who has him in their tree at Ancestry what they might know.

This.. Another of those cases that.. It's just mind boggling if it wasn't solved. Hope whoever this is that has him in their tree knows something and whether Christina ever met him.

So, just heard back from the person on Ancestry.. Yep.. Christina did find him.. In prison.

Apparently, he was a career criminal and was let out of prison in Illinois in 2017 on humanitarian grounds, and passed away shortly afterwards.

Whether this case is not part of the FilmRise episodes is due to the family asking that it be removed, or just the fact that the outcome is.. A pretty massive downer.. I can't answer.
