Jackson didn't earn $7.42 billion - his films have.

(All told, Jackson's films have earned $7.42 billion according to Guinness)

Maybe in todays dollars, but that really means nothing with movie tickets that average over 10 dollars each. Adjusted for inflation,if you compare someone like lets say Clark Gable or John Wayne,or many others and what their movies earned--S. Jackson does not even break into the top 250.Look at how much money "Gone With The Wind" alone made back in 1939 when a ticket to a movie cost about 10 cents.

that really doesn't come close to Frank Welker's $12,480,138,742 total (as of 2010 according to Forbes magazine (http://flickeringmyth.blogspot.com/2011/08/hollywoods-highest-grossing-star-is.html)) and theNumbers (http://www.the-numbers.com/people/records/)

they probably aren't counting him because he's a dog.

By the way, guess what the highest money making film of all time is.No it's not films like Titanic,or Avatar etc., not even by a long shot.---Yep, It's "Gone With The Wind". Adjusted for inflation it made over 4 BILLION dollars. No movie made within the last 25 years even comes close. That's why these lists are worthless.

Also, just for kicks, I did a little research using a simple calculator because I did not want to use some list off the internet. From 1934-60 Clark Gables films, again adjusted in todays dollars made over 44 BILLION dollars. And he started making movies quite a bit earlier than 1934.

I would've never guessed Samuel is the highest grossing actor of all time. He's done a lot of movies and he's a very good actor. Some of my favorites of his is Shaft, Jungle Fever, Do The Right Thing, Lakeview Terrace, Soul Men, Jackie Brown. I'm glad he overcame his drug addiction and i would like to see his play right now with him being Martin Luther King.
