We all know the typical slasher movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th & Nightmare on Elm Street. Any slasher movies other than those franchises you can recommend?

It's available in a 4-pack with 3 crappy movies.

The Slumberparty Massacre Series

Did you see Cheerleader Massacre? It's sort of Slumber Party Massacre IV...Brinke Stevens reprises her role as Linda from the original. I didn't think it was bad, haven't seen Cheerleader Massacre 2 though.

Cheerleader Camp (aka Bloody Pom Poms)

Silent Madness (Katherine Kamhi and Paul DeAngelo from Sleepaway Camp pop up in this)

Girls Nite Out (I'm probably the only one that actually likes this)

Final Exam

Blood Rage(uncut version of Nightmare at Shadow Woods)

Sorority House Massacre

The Zero Boys

Happy Hell Night (Sam Rockwell plays the younger version of Darren McGavin's character)

Cold Prey 1 & 2

Amsterdamned

Psycho Beach Party (Slasher flick meets Beach Blanket Bingo)

The Funhouse

Fade To Black '80

The Hills Run Red

Bloody Birthday

Popcorn

Slaughterhouse

Lighthouse

The Mutilator

Dark Ride

You're not the only one who likes Girls Nite Out. I thought it was a decent movie with some good twists and turns.

He Knows You're Alone

If you don't mind subtitles or dubbing:
Deep Red
Tenebrae
Sleepless
Opera
Stage Fright
The Pool
Bloody Reunion

The Initiation
Prom Night '80
When a Stranger Calls '79 (it turns into a police drama in the middle but it's still a very good stalk/suspense film).
Edge of the Axe
The Clown at Midnight
Shredder

Yep, I saw it back when it first came out. Back then my local video rental was still open and they always carried these kind of films.

I still think the ending is very creepy.

The mom and pop video stores were the best...Blockbusters and Hollywood mainly carried the mainstream....but the little stores had all the off the wall and straight to video horror flicks.

In my early 20's a video store took over the building of where a grocery store used to be....they had a huge double aisle of horror...I was in horror heaven....then about a year later Hollywood video bought them out, and it was back to boring mainstream.

Yeah, the mom-and-pop video business is dying unfortunately. The one near me that had everything closed at the end of 2009. They lasted the longest over the rest of my neighborhood local rentals.

I do have a Blockbuster near me but they don't have as much of a variety compared to the mom-and-pops. They do carry some of the more popular B-movies, like Full Moon and Troma flicks, but I think those companies have a deal with Blockbuster.

I've also been surprised at what I could find recently in my local supermarket DVD discount bin.

Same here, and at gas stations.

Same here, and at gas stations.

Many of the gas stations around me don't sell movies.

Some of the convenience stores / 24-hour groceries do.
