As for me:I think Herman's Hermits remade version of "Silhouettes" CANNOT hold a candle to the much,much better 1957 original version of "Silhouettes"by the Rays.And as far as Herman's Herrmits' version of "Wonderful World",it's okay,but it isn't as great as the late Sam Cooke's original 1960 version of "Wonderful World",which is,to me,a classic.I also do not like the Dave Clark Five's remade veresion of Chris Kenner's lively 1962 song "I Like It Like That",or their remake of the late Marv Johnson's 1959 hit
You Got What It Takes",or their remake of the Contours' 1962 classic "Do You Love Me?"

I love Nights in White Satin. I didn't care for their other faster songs, like Ride My Seesaw and Rock & Roll Band. I did like their "comeback" song from 1986, In Your Wildest Dreams.

Off hand I can't think of a British song that I hated back then.I was there (age14) when it all started. I can't describe the excitement and the feeling that the new music brought.
