When I was younger I absolutely loved wrestling! My favorite wrestlers at that time was Hulk "Terry" Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savich. Both were great I thought until they turned bad . . .
As I grew older I sort of grew out of wrestling, so I currently don't have a favorite. I don't even watch it.

I absolutely despise wresting!!! It's one of my pet hates. It's so fake - why does everybody get so worked-up about it?!??

I've been a wrestling fan longer than many of you have been alive! I won't bore you with a lot of talk about some of the "old time" wrestlers, but there were a lot of good ones. My favorites from more recent times are as follows:

Its not as fake as you think, after every match they are in pain...... I hate to day this but DUH!!! - I think alot of people look at it the same way that you see a soap opera, go to the movies, a TV program, the oscars etc. It's called entertainment. Sure I could read a book, ride a bike, run with my dogs, go swimming, work, work, work........ At the end of the day I choose what I want to see and wrestling is funny and entertaining! Oh by the way I love Ric Flair and Hulk and The Rock and, and...............

Wrestling gets on my nerves now, but when I was like 4 I only liked it for Hog Cogan or however you spell his name.

I quit watching wrestling about six months ago. I got sick of it. It is very fake and very vulgar. Most of the wrestlers got on my nerves. Especially Stone Cold , Triple H and Chyna. It's extremely obvious that the latter two are heavy steroid users.

In my opinion, I think it's people who just wanna kill other people. If it's not, then it sure as hell looks like it.

As I said in my earlier post, I've been watching wrestling for quite a few years. However, like you DJM77, I too have stopped watching in recent months. They've gotten away from actual wrestling, and concentrate more on what goes on in the locker room or away from the arena. Whe Vince McMahon took over WCW and ECW, I think that was the worst thing that could have happened to wrestling. It's just very crude and vulgar now, and not very entertaining.

But i agree. Wrestling is very vulgar now. I was a lways a bigger fan in the 80's-about 1995. When Luger left WWF, it was all downhill for the WWF then but WCW got better--for a few years only.

Hopefully, when Hogan, Hall and Nash come back things will change. probably not but you never know. As they say, "Anything Can Happen in the WWF!"

Triple-H's injury was real,the reasons

When my son was about 12 (early 80's) I watched it with him. I actually liked the WWF then. It was sooooooooooo funny! Now that I am grown up I think it's dumb.:crazy:

Well from the sizes of the crowds that go see it they all ""love that Fake""......... :lol: I enjoy looking at it though. I sit with my children and have a fun time making fun of the wrestlers. Plus the neighborhood kids love it too.

Everybody knows it's fake! So are sitcoms, soap opera's and movies, yet people come on these boards and talk about them too. Magicians are fake, actors play pretend so what? It's called the suspension of disbelief. That is what makes you go out and enjoy a movie which is all fake. It makes you care about characters in a sitcom or a drama.

Wrestlers are part athlete and part actor and they freely admit that. If it is all fake, how do you explain their Real injuries? Don't mock people for enjoying something, especially something that you know nothing about. It's rude, it's asinine and is f'n uncalled for. You are entitled to an opinion, but not at the expense of mocking anybody who actually does enjoy it.

I think you should probably read my first post again because I wasn't "mocking" all wrestling fans. I hate wrestling and since the person who posted this thread was looking for people's opinions on the subject I felt compelled to say so. I didn't realise that this thread was only for people who enjoyed the 'sport'.
You, on the other hand, are the one who is being insulting. Don't dare call me asinine and rude just cos I don't enjoy watching a bunch of rednecks screaming and shouting while watching a bunch of second-rate actors in bad costumes pretend to hit each other (yes, I was being insulting that time).
Some people are aware that wrestling is fake - I know that. But there are also a hell of a lot of people - people who I know personally - who take it seriously and that is what I hate about it.

I love the Undertaker. The old school Undertaker I should say. I mean I like him as the American Badass, but I really miss him as the Phenom. You know with Paul Bearer, the urn, the gloves, the casket matches, the long coat. In fact I just bought a 1994 T-shirt on Ebay of the Undertaker. It's the one where on the front is just a purple hand coming out of the body bag. It's so cool!

I think they are doing a good job. It just takes time and patience.

Yea the Old Undertaker was awesome.... especially around 1998... I liked in the summer of 98 when he got his new music... that was awesome... the one thats on WWF the music 3 that is
