If this belongs in a different forum, i apologize. Several years back, i was in the Meredith Baxter Fan Club, which was run by my old friend Lynda Fuller. One time Meredith told me that she hates being called actress, but prefers both men and women to be called actors. i understood this, and now i usually call both actors and actresses actors, because many others share this sentiment, but i do sometimes forget, and say actress.

Also found out from Meredith that she prefers Leno to Letterman. Says Letterman is creepy. lol I and many others agree Meredith. lol

Meredith is beyond awesome, love her to death. Anyway, please share your thoughts!

All very interesting, and new to me. Thanks for sharing!

Marlene, the Johnny Depp thing is the only one i had heard before, and i can relate too. Wouldn't say i'm scared of clowns, but i do find them very creepy. Like some weird demon spawn, with their big painted on smiles. lol

Ronald Mcdonald is the creepiest in my view. i don't think iv'e ever come across a small child who didn't go into a complete panic when seeing a clown. Ha ha ;)

Luccile Ball was responsible for getting "STAR TREK" on the air. When Desilu shot the first pilot-"the Cage"-it was shown to her and a handful of studio execs. None of them liked it exept for her, since she was also a scifi buff. So, she told them to make it into a series and since she owned the company, everyone listened to her.

I've heard a very different story. In the book Inside Star Trek by Robert Justman (associate producer of the series) and Herbert Solow (head of Desilu studios) it is stated that Ball never understood the show. That infact early on she thought it was about movie stars on a crusie ship. According to Martin Landau, Lucille Ball did not understand Mission Impossible either.

Jason Wingreen who played Bartender Harry Snowden on Archie Bunker's Place was the voice of Boba Fett in Star Wars.

Bill Quinn who played Mr Van Ranseleer on Archie Bunker's Place was the father-in-law of Bob Newhart and according to IMDb, it was Ginny Newhart that came up with idea for the final episode of Newhart.

According to Jason Wingreen who worked on Matlock, Andy Griffith was very bigoted even though he later supported Barack Obama.

I've posted links here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?p=4614586#post4614586) to an interview with Mr. Wingreen who discusses these and other facts surrounding his career.

On "Gunsmoke" because of James Arness height of 6 foot 7 inches, during close-ups while standing, most of the main cast members and many guest stars stood on a box, step or something similair. That was the only way they could have conversations while looking at James face(even if they still had to look up). Burt Reynolds was one of the few that rarely did that during his 2 years on the show. And if you'll notice the top of Burts head does not even reach the bottom of James Arnesses shoulders during their scenes together.--Dennis Weaver also did not do this but he stood about 6 foot 2,unlike the 5 foot 8 or 9 inch Reynolds.

My all time favorite singer, and member of the lesser known 29 year old celebrity death club, Keith Green, had more of his albums heard by people then even the greatest artists of the day, including Elvis Presley, because of his pay only what you can afford policy for his music. Probably gave millions of albums out for free.

Many believe that like Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, 2Pac, Michael Jackson, and many others who were exposing the corruptness in the world, that Keith Green was actually martyred by the illuminati in his 1982 plane crash with his young son and daughter, Josiah, and Bethany. That's up for debate, but after much study, i'm sort of leaning towards this thought as well. i don't share these kinds of things without MUCH study, and this is what i, and MANY others believe.

Keith was also great friends with Bob Dylan, who played harmonica on Keith's song, "Pledge My Head To Heaven".

Keith Green was not killed by the illuminati. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. There were 12 people on a tiny Cessna and it was over it's weight capacity and couldn't stay in the air. It got about 3,000 feet in the air and then started pitching and hit the ground where it exploded, killing all aboard. This is all from the NTSB report and mentioned in the biography written by Melody Green, Keith's widow: No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green.

Keith was 28 years old at the time of the crash.

Jack Bennys girlfriend on his radio and TV shows, Mary Livingstone, was played by his wife Sadie.
On his radio show once they had a "win a date with Jack Benny" contest. When it came time to announce the "winner" it was a girl named Mary Livingstone. Now they needed someone to play the part; Jack suggested his wife. She agreed and the character became so popular they made her a regular. So many people thought her name was really Mary Livingstone that she had it changed to that.
