The ever-aging 40-year-old mind is continuing to fail so I must turn to fellow my UM fans for help.
This was a Final Appeal case. About a mentally challenged man who was sent to jail for murder (I think). It wasn't the Johnny Lee Wilson case (I thought that was it until I watched it.) I remember at the end when this man was finally set free, he was sitting inside the courtroom, sitting in a chair, smiling. He was older by then. Can't remember how long he was in prison but seemingly a long time. Focused on how he was supported his mother throughout it all (perhaps even a grandmother, hence my confusion with the JLW case.)
I know the details are thin but people have always come through on here with much better memories than me.
If you have a hint, I'll google the name and see if that's the one I'm thinking of.
Thanks!
