I was watching "Odd Man Out" the other day-- the episode where Frasier keeps having messages left from a woman calling a wrong number and he decides to go and meet her at the airport. She said in one of those messages that she was coming in on "American Flight 11" and this time, right when she said it, it struck me. I hadn't noticed it before. This note is in the episode guide on this site:
When Laura mistakenly leaves the messages about her arrival on Frasier's answering machine, she says she's coming in on American Airlines, Flight 11. That flight was one of the planes that terrorists crashed into the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, more than four years after the episode aired. Aboard that plane were David Angell, creator and executive producer of Frasier; and his wife, Lynn.
Of all the airlines and all the thousands of flight numbers the writers could have picked... I find that to be a rather creepy coincidence.
