Like, a 175 year old Waterford Crystal clock

A stuffed Camel

A Christmas soap

My grandmothers Celtic cross that she gave to me

My great-great-great grandmothers English Tea Set

My Collatta ring, which has some sort of value to it. Maybe it's cuz it's pure silver or something...-shrugs-

My Union Jack Flag that was used in the Revalutionary War!!! If I can find a pic of it, I'll scan it. It's all big and stained and stuff. My Uncle got it out of some kind of museum in Scotland.

What is a hierloom??

I would think something important like VHS tapes or something that means something to ya??

I have so much stuff from my mother, grandmother and maybe even her mother. In an article today from the Boston Globe, they talked about dishes handed down from 4 generations. The last current generation, has the hundred pieces of china dishes handed down from great grandmother, boxed and sitting in closet. All in all, no one wants this old stuff. Sad.New generations like new items. How many people eat with cloth table cloths and elaborate table settings.? I suppose all heirlooms go into the dump as time goes on. .
