As most of you are aware, earlier this week, on October 12, evangelical preacher Kirk Cameron turned 42.

According to Yahoo! News, Kirk spent his birthday at Living Waters Ministry in Bellflower, California.

A photo at the end of this post features Kirk blowing out his birthday cake in Living Waters' rather small conference room in a photo that's since gone viral.

Per Yahoo! News, ""See a Very Sad Photo From Kirk Cameron's Birthday Party" the headline on New York magazine's Vulture blared. "We're not totally sure where this photo came from (and whether it's real, or from a movie set), but regardless of its origins: oh dear." The Washington Post's Jen Chaney launched a caption contest. Uproxx.com photoshopped Cameron some friends.

According to a person at the party who spoke to The Cutline, there were 10-15 people behind the camera when the photo of Cameron was taken. And none of them, it seems, was aware the photo went viral."

The photo was taken by Lane Chaplin, a law student at nearby Trinity Law School and a Christian vlogger, who, when asked if the photo was real, she said, "Yup. Are people posting it on the Web?"

Happy 42nd birthday to Kirk Cameron, and here's to 42 more years on Earth.

I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Maybe I'm missing something?

1 person posting a picture to Sitcoms Online doesn't make it "viral".

I read this story yesterday on Yahoo News - I'm using the term "news" lightly. With the rotten economy, unemployment, occupy Wall Street - WHY is this "news"?

Maybe they meant it was a sad party, since there's only 2 people there(in the picture).

I assume most people got out of the shot; maybe they didn't want to catch this "Virus"(have themselves on the net/magazines; or be seen with kirk...just kidding)

Subway is expensive, I don't go there anymore.

Why in the world is this sad? Let the man blow out his candles and be at peace with his five dollar foot long sandwiches. The media will take nothing and try to make something out of it. This attempt with the photograph is a weak one.
