View Full Version : Millie (Ann Morgan Guilbert) and Laura (Mary Tyler Moore) were GREAT rezny717 10-14-2011, 09:17 PM In the last season episode from 1966 titled "Long Night's Journey into Day".Question:Did Mary Tyler Moore and Ann Morgan Guilbert get along off-camera as they did on?Any OTHER great Millie/Laura episodes? biffbronson 08-10-2014, 01:44 AM Ann is a great comedienne -- and by the way, nice legs! http://squeamishakimbo.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/millie-sings.jpg treky 08-12-2014, 02:10 AM yes she is! Samme 08-19-2014, 03:52 AM They got along well and Mary later said that Ann "was such a nice lady" and they regularly played a board game on the set. (I forget its name.) Ann was known for making the guest stars welcome and at home on the set. I thought she was underrated and really added to the show. She was great with Jerry and a very natural friend for Laura. I liked her better than Rhoda for Mary. More mature, not joking to everything that was said, and yet still fun. They seemed closer to real life to me. I thought Ann was great as Millie, and a great match for Mary. It wasn't a letdown to have scenes with Laura and Millie. JudgeGarth 08-19-2014, 09:20 AM I agree. I liked Jerry, too. It was a word game that was apparently all the rage in the 1960's! |
