ABC Cancels "Charlie’s Angels"

ABC has officially canceled its "Charlie's Angels" remake. Production has shut down, but the show will continue to air for the time being, TVGuide.com has learned.

The reboot, which stars Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor, has been struggling since it premiered on Sept 22.

"Angels'" third episode, which aired on Oct. 6, was Thursday night's lowest-rated show, as its ratings plunged 20 percent -- with 5.9 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demo.

I wonder how many episodes they had in the can before production shut-down. Maybe enough for a "complete series" dvd release?

Thought it was a bad idea and didn't think it would last, but it got canned fast. Years ago they gave shows more time to find an audience.

I'm disappointed the show got cancelled because i liked what i saw. F*ck ABC network for cancelling it. Give the show a chance damn. I don't like good shows getting cancelled quick just because a lot of people aren't watching. I wonder if the show is gonna come on dvd if they did a lot of episodes. If it does come on dvd, i'll buy it. I didn't know the new Knight Rider that got cancelled was on dvd until i saw it at the bookstore. I wanna get that because i only saw one episode of new Knight Rider and i was a fan of the old Knight Rider.

The women just were NOT attractive enough to pull this off. They were heroin-chic runway models who couldn't act their way out of a dripping wet paper bag. With obviously no skills, I wounder whose husbands they had to service to get those roles and whether or not we will be hearing about how these same adultourous producers will be blackmailed or sued now that the series has rightfully crashed and burned.

Minka Kelly is very attractive. Did you watch the show? She is stunning!

Rachael Taylor is stunning IMO.

Minka Kelly is pretty too, I know her from "FNL", but I like Rachael Taylor much better.

I'll probably check out the remaining eps. The series is already programmed on my DVR.

I'm gonna watch the remaining episodes and i think the actresses are cute. I'm disappointed the show was cancelled and i don't care if a lot of people didn't watch it. I'm tired of these networks cancelling good shows and it seems the corny boring shows stay on for a long time.

simply put, hooray. Just another attempt by the networks to recycle what was a hit just to benefit their bottom line.

Hollywood is just too damn lazy!

...Thursdays at 8pm(et) is one of ABC's worst hours to program these days. Remember "MY GENERATION" last season? That lasted only two weeks in that time period...and hasn't been seen since. I suspect that if the new "CHARLIE'S ANGELS" had apeared at the show's original time in 1976- Wednesdays at 10pm(et)- it might have have a chance. But ABC owns "'REVENGE", and they always give "first dibs" on any series they own and/or co-produce these days. Too bad...

I think the last hit they had in that slot was Whose Line is it Anyway, and that was already quite a few years ago.

They had a hit with Ugly Betty.

Reverend Jim, thanks for the pictures again of the hot ladies. I watched Charlie's Angels because of them LOL. They're very hot and i'm gonna miss seeing them. I watched this past Thursday's episode and i'm gonna watch the remaining 3 episodes. Nice pictures of Cameron Diaz Reverend Jim. She has nice feet. I like that picture you showed of her wearing a bikini sitting in a chair with her foot in the air and the other picture of her you showed wearing a bikini at the beach with her feet in the air is nice. Cameron is hot. I've always liked her even though i haven't seen that many of her movies. I'm gonna rent her Bad Teacher movie today. I was very disappointed in her Knight And Day movie with Tom Cruise. I liked her What Happens In Vegas movie with Ashton Kutcher and Lake Bell.

My mother and I actually enjoyed the show. I really hate that it got cancelled. :(

I actually enjoyed the remake and watched it live over The Vampire Diaries which I dvr. So I'm disappointed it was cancelled.. ABC needs to stick their word and air the remaining 3 I want to enjoy it, while I still can.:)

Reverend Jim, nice pictures of Minka Kelly. I would like to massage and kiss her feet LOL. I didn't know Charlie Brown came on Thursday. I should've watched it because i haven't seen it in a long time. I like that cartoon. Charlie and Snoopy are adorable.
