Granted, both shows content were completely different from one another, but this show was canceled after 3 seasons and it was the power of syndication that made it a hit for years to come. It even spawned What's Happening Now! Family Guy on the other hand was canned and it was DVD sales that brought it back to life. If DVD's existed back in the 70's, who knows how What's Happening would've turned out???
