Hi all!
First off I would just like to say to all of you - Thank you for keeping Freddie and Chico and the Man alive!
Maybe one of you guys could help me with this. I am a young latino actor who has had the very good fortune to be ask to play Freddie Prinze in an upcomming show at the New York Comedy Club this April. There is nothing I want more than to do Freddie proud and to bring him back into the spot light - to remind people of what a great performer and person he was.
The reason I am writing this and the reason why I am very angry is that I can not find anyone - anywhere who sells these classic episodes of CATM. It was only one of the top rated shows of the 70's but no one ever bothered to put them to tape. I hope that I am wrong and perhaps one of you could direct me to the right place.
The more info I can get on Freddie the better I can do him justice and of course those of you in the NY area can mail me for info on the show.

As far as I know nowhere had the episodes for sale. If you could watch his HBO special I bet that would have some of his standup act in it. I've never seen the HBO special before tho. Good luck! Hope they show your show on tv so we can all see it! :)

Oh my what an honor and a privilege to be asked to play the part of the very talented, very handsome and very funny Freddie Prinze Sr. I wish you the best in this endeavor. Are you wanting someone to send you copies of CATM episodes or wanting to see his comedy routine that he performs in different comedy clubs? I'm not sure about the latter but I bet someone here could copy a few of their CATM tapes to send you. These tapes are extremely hard to locate and as far as I know, no one has them to sell. I've checked the internet and different places like Columbia House, Critics Choice and a few others with no success. Keep checking here as I bet someone will be able to come through for you. This is a very dedicated group of Freddie Prinze fans.

Hey - thankx for your reply. Yes I desperatly need to get my hands on some CATM episodes. I have almost every article and send away for his CD - I even found a made for tv story on his life - but the CATM is the most important peice to this puzzle. I cannot do him justice without them and fear I will have to pull out of this gig if I cant find at least a few episodes.
The more I learn about Freddie the more I see why he touched so many people. Every time I read about his death I get depressed. To soon - to fast :(
I am no Freddie Prinze but I may be able to bring him back ;)
